Tính từ + giới từ (2)
Unit này giúp bạn nhớ giới từ đi sau các tính từ như afraid of, good at, interested in, famous for, married to, crowded with.
Tính từ + of
Nhiều tính từ đi với of: afraid/frightened/scared/terrified of, proud/ashamed of, jealous/envious of, aware/conscious of, capable of, fond of, full of, short of, tired of (chán).

My dog is terrified of fireworks.
Con chó của tôi rất sợ pháo hoa.
The bus was full of students.

Lưu ý
'tired of' = chán ngấy (I'm tired of waiting), khác 'tired from' = mệt vì (tired from the long walk).
Tính từ + at
Để nói ai giỏi hay kém một việc, dùng good/bad/brilliant/excellent/hopeless at + danh từ hoặc V-ing.
good / bad / brilliant / hopeless + at + danh từ / V-ing
Hải is brilliant at chess.
Hải chơi cờ vua cực giỏi.
I'm hopeless at remembering names.
Tôi rất kém trong việc nhớ tên người.
She's good at cooking Vietnamese food.
Cô ấy nấu món Việt rất giỏi.
Lưu ý
Người Việt hay nói 'good in maths' vì dịch 'giỏi trong môn toán'. Đúng là 'good at maths'.
Tính từ + to / from / in / on
married/engaged to, similar to, different from (hoặc to), interested in, keen on, dependent on. Hãy học từng cặp như một khối.
married / engaged / similar + to; different + from/to; interested + in; keen / dependent + on
Her accent is similar to mine.
Giọng của cô ấy giống giọng tôi.
Life in the countryside is very different from life in Sài Gòn.
Cuộc sống ở nông thôn rất khác cuộc sống ở Sài Gòn.
My brother is keen on football.
Anh tôi rất mê bóng đá.
Lưu ý
Không nói 'married with somebody'. Đúng là 'married to somebody' hoặc 'get married to'.
Tính từ + for / with
famous for (nổi tiếng vì), responsible for (chịu trách nhiệm về), late for, ready for đi với for. crowded with (đông nghịt) đi với with.
famous / responsible / late / ready + for; crowded + with
Huế is famous for its royal tombs.
Huế nổi tiếng với các lăng tẩm.
Who is responsible for this project?
Ai chịu trách nhiệm dự án này?
The beach was crowded with tourists.
Bãi biển đông nghịt khách du lịch.
Lưu ý
'famous for' + lý do nổi tiếng; 'famous as' + vai trò: 'He is famous as a singer.'
